Learning Lab: Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes - Why it's hard to Turn and Face the Strange

How do we support people to move through change?

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” - Carl Rogers

Inspired by the person-centred wisdom of Carl Rogers (and perhaps a little bit of David Bowie too), this Learning Lab explores what it means to support individuals and groups through change. Whether the shift is cultural, behavioural, strategic or process-based, change is rarely just practical - it’s emotional too.

What to Expect:

Jonathan Bowring will guide an interactive exploration of how people respond to change, what helps them step towards it - and what gets in the way. We’ll reflect on our own experiences, share examples of organisational change, and consider how to work with others as they approach the edge of change themselves. You’ll leave with deeper insight into the enablers of change, along with fresh confidence and practical tools to support people - and yourself - in stepping over the threshold.

– This session was designed by Jonathan Bowring.
