How can cultural leadership drive lasting organisational change?
The term ‘Cultural Leadership’ acknowledges that leadership lives at many levels within an organisation - not just in job titles, but in everyday behaviours. Cultural leaders might be change agents, values ambassadors or champions of belonging. Their influence can be subtle yet powerful.
This Learning Lab builds on the insights shared in A Cultural Hypothesis - a paper published by Management Futures in Spring 2024. Drawing on case studies and current research, the paper outlines four enablers that distinguish the most sustainable, transformational and high-performing cultures. This session celebrates the critical role of cultural leaders and previews a forthcoming sister paper exploring how to facilitate cultural change.
What to Expect:
Dr Edd Vahid will guide us through key reflections following the launch of A Cultural Hypothesis, alongside an exploration of what it means to lead cultural change from within. We’ll discuss the roles of cultural sponsors, architects and guardians, and consider how exceptional leadership ties together purpose, psychological safety, belonging and shared values. Whether you’re a formal leader or an informal influencer, this Lab offers insight, connection and inspiration for shaping thriving cultures.
– This session was designed by Dr Edd Vahid.
